I have been in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. I earned my Bachelor degree in Health Science at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I began my career in 120-bed skilled nursing facility in St. Louis, MO and enjoyed watching residents get better and go home. I have primarily been in Admission and Marketing roles, but found myself interested in all aspects of nursing home management. I started with EmpRes in 2012 as the Admission and Marketing Director at Health & Rehabilitation of North Seattle. I then transitioned into an Administrator-In-Training role in 2014. I completed my program and transferred to an EmpRes building in Bellingham where I accepted the position as Executive Director. I transferred back to Health and Rehabilitation of North Seattle in December 2015, as it was much closer to home. When I am not at the center I enjoy spending time with my 2 children and husband. From March to October you most likely find me at a softball or baseball tournament! I also like to travel, spend time in the mountains and scrapbook!

“I try to be available to staff and residents when or where needed. I really enjoy HRNS because we have a pretty good team of staff here. My position as the Director of Nursing Services is with constant changing challenges which maintain my intense interest in the position. Sometimes it can be very tiring yet it causes me to wake up, get up, and get to work as there is always more to do. I presume that makes me a workaholic.”
Azalea and her husband Tim enjoy going out to dinner, hiking, reading, or just spending quality time with family.
